Set Poster Frame not working in PP 2024

In PP 2024.10.0 on Mac OS 15.6.1, every time I try to Set Poster Frame in either Icon View or Freeform View within a Bin, either the Poster Frame doesn't stick and it reverts back to the 1st frame of the video, or it sticks somewhere other than where I set it.

You may want to try resetting preferences: To reset Premiere Pro preferences, close the app, then relaunch it while holding down Alt (Windows) or Option (macOS), and confirm the reset in the dialog box that appears; for a more thorough reset including the media cache, hold Shift + Alt (Windows) or Shift + Option (macOS) during launch to bring up more options in the reset dialog.
