transscript does not recognize the dialogue tags

I marked my audio in Essntial Sound as a dialogue. The dialogue mark is to be seen on the audio track. But the transsript option in the text window claims not to find a daialogue. As a consequence it does not offer the command to create a transscript. I have done this several times before. Now it does not work anymore (current version)

That sounds strange @tillp86244432. What do you think @Alexander Riss? Have you seen this @Stan Jones?

Please give the team more info, as well. See, How do I write a bug report?

I hope we can help you soon. Sorry for the problem.

Thanks,
Kevin

@tillp86244432,

Let's see what @alexander-riss says, but the Audio/Dialogue tag has nothing to do with whether the transcription process identifies actual speech in the audio it is looking at. In the early transcription versions, it only looked at track one, but in more recent versions it looks at more.

So what version of PR are you running? (Look at Help -> About Premiere Pro.)

A screenshot of what you are seeing might help.

Also find one of your clips in the Project Panel. Right click and pick Transcribe. What do you see?

Stan

Now it works. After closing and reopen the project the text window offers me the option to create a transscript. Seems like an refresh bug. This work around is good enough for me.

Thank you for your feedback.

It sounds like you are seeing the "No dialogue found" error message in the text panel. This does not mean that no audio tracks were found to have an "audio tag" but that we detected the sequence to have an audio duration of zero. Can you check if you have any audio clips on on audio track 1? That should be sufficient - you could also try to enable automatic transcription to work around any issues in the auto detection - as this would only be relevant for static transcriptions - not for dynamic (text based editing) transcriptions.

Best regards,

 Alexander
