Unable to change keyframes in video motion tab

Community Beginner ,

I have had this problem before and am unsure what causes it. But here is the issue. In the video you see me zoom into the clip, place a keyframe at the beginning, then move to the end and place another keyframe at the end (just so I can keep the person in frame easily).  But after I place the final keyframe, that's the one it follows and ignores all other keyframes. This also happens vice-versa(keyframe at the end and then final keyframe at the beginning of clip), no matter where I start/stop it will always use the last keyframe as the one it follows, as if I didn't have any keyframes at all.

I am expecting it to follow the keyframes as they are on the timeline.

Hi @Nicolas340548196u2n,

Thank you for submitting a bug report and for sharing a video of the issue. A few questions:

Is this happening with all of your clips or only the one specifically and are there any other effects or parameters changed in the affected clips (like speed changes)? Does it happen with other types of media files? What happens if the project is closed and reopened or if you reset/change your workspace?

Hi @Nicolas340548196u2n,

Thank you for submitting a bug report and for sharing a video of the issue. A few questions:

As a temporary workaround, you could try to nest the clip and apply the keyframes to the nest.

Sorry for the frustration and hope we can help you soon,

Dani

Thanks for the reply!

1. Is this happening with all of your clips or only the one specifically:

This is only happening to only 1 clip.
2. are there any other effects or parameters changed in the affected clips:
As a matter of fact there is a speedramp that I totally missed, and actually may be the cause.

So what I eventually did was go back the the original footage (I have a sequence with all of my footage synced) grabbed a "fresh" copy the that video by trimming it to size, brought it back into my main timeline via paste, then created the keyframes  and it worked like usual. Only difference between the fresh one and the one I had originally on the timeline is a speedramp.I have a strong belief that that is the issue.

I never really thought about it, but is that the intended effect? I just tried it on another clip:
1. apply speed ramp (I've been doing it at the beginning of the clip)

2. go to a place where you'd like to change position and add a keyframe

3. go to 2nd position and change position, adding a key frame

The outcome:

The last keyframe is the one that is followed, all other keyframes are ignored.

Here is a video of me first grabbing an untouched video clip, modifying it as usual (position keyframes) and it works. I then undo everything and go through the steps above to recreate the issue. I also did it with scale (unsure if it's the same with all other motion parameters).

Again, not sure if this is intended but now I know the problem and can work around it. It's just weird to have the last keyframe overwrite every previous keyframe
