Underscores

Dec 17, 2025 Dec 17, 2025

Every project I've worked on for years has a folder called _old which sat at the top of every bin. In the latest version underscores are ignores and they are now in the list with other 'o' files. Is this a bug?

(also, seriously, make the work area bar lighter grey again. )

Hi @MstrO

Welcome to the Premiere Pro Forum community. Thank you for taking the time to report a problem. It would help us if you could use the link here, How to Report a Problem, which has steps to provide more information that can help us identify the issue. Is it not sorting the bins within the Project panel to have the _old filter at the top of the folder? I attached a screenshot. Is this a similar folder structure you would build in your projects?

Here to help.

Hi thanks for getting back to me. Ive just been looking at the project where i first noticed to check i wasnt going mad, and realised that there are actually 2 similar problems that i slightly mixed up.

In premiere _old sits above alphabetically named bins, as they used to, but now sit below bins with numbers for names, as if the sorting for _ has changed slightly. it used to be sorted bfoe and letter or numbers.

the other issue is on Frame.io which now seems to ignore underscored completely so my _Delivery folder is halfway down a list of folders instead of at the top.Screenshot 2025-12-18 at 11.31.11.pngScreenshot 2025-12-18 at 11.34.34.png
