Undo and Redo stop working

Ever since updating to 24.3.0 I have had issues with Undo and Redo. They both stop working after I've been editing for an hour or so. They are not grayed out in the menu, but they don't work. It's the same when using shortcuts (Command Z and Command/Shift Z) and manually from the edit dropdown.  After I quit and restart Premiere they work again (temporarily), but as you can imagine not being able to undo edits is a massive problem and has screwed up my project.

I'm on a 16-inch Macbook Pro

M3 Max

MacOS Sonoma 14.1

128 GB RAM

No plugins installed.

Any ideas?

'Temporarily' is interesting: What sorts of things are you doing in PPro, which seems to make them NOT work again?

No idea, that's partly why I'm asking. I'll just be editing like normal and suddenly I won't be able to undo my mistakes. I don't know if something I'm doing is causing it or if it just another of the debilitating bugs that Premiere is plagued with.

And when I say temporarily I mean that about an hour or so later it does it again.

So, during that hour, you're editing like normal, and then you'll go to Undo something, and find out it's not possible?

[We were hopeful for a proximal behavior trigger; "Everything is great until I open CC Libraries", or something like that.]
