About half an hour after restarting my computer, videos begin to flicker and play at double speed. The audio becomes choppy, as if the computer is skipping frames. For example, a 6-second clip plays in about 3 seconds.
This happens with all types of files, codex, frame rates or resolutions, in the source window as well as the program monitor.
All my drivers are up to date.
I'm using Premiere Pro 25, but the same issue occurred in versions from the past six months. Closing and reopening the software doesn't help. Only restarting the computer temporarily fixes it, but even then, the problem returns after about 30-60 minutes.
