We should get hardware decode/encode of h.264/h.265, AMD's alternative to quicksync.
AMD forums say ball's in Adobe's court, Premiere forum says AMD needs driver rekease. I haven't yet seen a user claim to have it working in good order.
What's up? It changes the rig building landscape if it works.
Update. Had one user on r/premere reply with confirmation that the AMD hardware acelerated decoding/encoding did show up for them in there Prefs>Media.
