I'm trying to update premiere on my Macbook Pro, but I keep getting an error listing lack of free space. The error report says it needs 31GB of space, but my hard drive has 121GB free. I've cleared caches, emptied the trash and downloads folder, and cleaned up as much as I can safely get rid of. I'm new to Macs having just switched over from PC for work, so any insight into why this is happening would be super helpful!
Macbook Pro, 24gb ram, M4 Pro chip, Sequoia 15.7.1, if any of that matters.
Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks for the message. I think you may have some storage that might be taken up by your system. Can you go into System Settings > General > Storage and see if you have any unusually large amounts of storage taken up by the system or other area of your storage. Have you also emptied the media cache? Press Shift and launch Premiere Pro and delete cache using the Reset Options Dialog Box. I hope the advice helps.
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin, thanks for responding! I have 142GB free on my HD. There's 264GB of "system data" on here, but I don't know what that is or if that's causing the issue. I have cleaned all caches in all adobe programs, and have moved the caches to an external SSD.
Just tried to update Premiere again, still getting the error. Says I don't have enough space despite having 140GB of free space on the HD.

I'm getting the error code "failure to extract" which Adobe stuff says typically means not enough room ... on an Nvme drive with over 100 GB of free space. But with the PrPro public beta.
ALL other CC apps, including betas, install and update just fine, only PrPro public beta doesn't.
Just as additional data.
