22.5 Import Error, Performance Disaster

Hi all, like many have been using premiere for work, I'm not sure what changed in 22.5 but my playback (M1MAX) has worsend considerably, and I'm unable to import simple files like WAVS. A reinstall provided no benifit.  Anyone else?

It happens with different files, but most strange is simple files like
wav’s. A reinstall does not remedy.
