3rd party proxies displaying half size

New Here ,
Feb 26, 2024 Feb 26, 2024

I edit episodes for TV series. Usually, I am given a drive with only proxies (no full res media) and timelines with synced audio and video for each shoot day. Recently, when I try to open the shoot day projects and link the clips to the proxies, they display small on my timeline. (Or, in some cases, some footage displays small and others full size - and then, upon re-opening the project, they display differently again.)

I have tried unchecking the 'preserve interpret footage settings' box on the dialogue box at opening, as well as other combinations of settings. I've tried offlining and relinking the proxies.

It's usually a 4K sequence with 720 proxies. They're a mix of GoPro, DJI, Sony A7S and FS7.

In some cases the proxies were created on a mac, and I'm working on a PC (Windows 10). This problem has happened in both 2023 and 2024 versions of Premiere.

I re-installed Premiere without importing my previous settings and preferences, too.

Also updated my graphics driver.

My computer is now about... 6 years old.

Has this happened to anyone else? What kind of setting might I have wrong here?

Let me know.

Thanks,
Kevin
