4k -> HD -> 4K

The footage files I'm working on are in 4k and the final project export is going to be in 4K. However, working in 4k is much more CPU/RAM/.... intesnive than doing it in HD. Will it effect the render quality if I make my sequences in 1080p and THEN export while upscaling them to 4k?
