I have a 55min video that turns into a 9 second clip when i import it in premiere pro. All the screen recordings which i made before were the same length or sometimes longer and they import fine.
Its also happening with a 17min screen recording that i made.
Im new to premiere pro so maybe i pressed something accidentally.

Can you post a screenshot of your Project panel with the metadata colums all showing? What does the frame rate of the screen recording say? It's possible that it's being interpreted incorrectly. What happens when you drag the clip into a timeline, does it show the entire screen recording, but maybe it's playing back super quickly? Or is it only showing the first nine seconds in real-time then it gets cut off?

The first two 4 minute clips in my screenshot import fine. Theyre 4mins and after importing they were the same length and work fine.

It sounds like there's an issue with your clip. Maybe the recording got corrupted? Does the clip play back the full 55 minutes in your media player or anywhere else?
