Active sequence not showing up in text panel/transcribe

I am working on a project that runs multiple sequences. When I open the project, the current active sequence will popualte but when I change sequences, it does not change and will stay on the prior.

This used to not be the case and the only way I can get it to show the next transcribe I want is to restart premiere. Is this a bug? It's only started happening to me in the past 3 months or so. Very annoying, thank you!

It shouldn't do what you describe, but I can't imagine anything that would. Check to be sure that you didn't accidentally deselect the "Follow active monitor" check box in the bottom left of the Text panel/transcript tab.
