I'm trying to add a preset to a clip via script, but I don't think it's possible.

I know you can manipulate an already added effect using Component object, but I just wanted confirmation this is impossible?

Thanks!

Confirmed, there is no supported mechanism for applying effects (or effect presets), using PPro's ExtendScript API.

You need to loop over every property and set it yourself. And if you want you can try and reverse-engineer a preset file, but it's no easy task.
