Hey

So, I added dip to black and lost audio.

Upon the drag and drop I did see:

"Insufficient media. This transition will contain repeated frames."

Have no idea what that means. How do I get audio?

Thanks

Thanks Bob, it seems to be the audio layer. When I drag and drop into the timeline the audio does'nt show. Does that have to do with the handle stuff you're mentioning above? I'll have to read more. Thanks

Handles and the audio issue are different problems.

Did you try Sequence > Render audio from the menu at the top?

Ok so there’s a difference. I read a bit of lesson 7 on handles and am now
just starting to understand them. The sequence thing I couldn’t find.

If the audio is from the same clip as the picture, you need to either overlay audio where the frames in the transition are being repeated (from the same clip or a different clip) or trim enough frames from the clip such that the tail of the transition is not playing past the clip Media End - assuming that this is happening with the A clip (the first clip in the transition).  If this is happening with the B clip, then the head of the clip needs to be trimmed such that the clip Media Start does not play after the head of the transition.

It's easiest to view repeat frames in the Effect Controls tab while the Transition is selected in the Timeline.
