I don't know if that wording makes much sense, but it's pretty much the problem I've got going on. If I adjust the length of any video clip in my timeline, then the length turns invisible and wont snap to anything. It makes it hard to get a clip exactly where I need it.
I've tried resetting my preferences, reinstalling the program, changing/updating my gpu drivers, and there are no nested sequences in the project. This problem persists in other projects as well. I'm beginning to think it's a hardware issue, but I dont want to say it is because that would mean needing to buy an entirely new gpu which I do not have the money for right now.
If anyone knows what might be causing this then please let me know what I can do to fix this. It's extremely annoying, and while it can be worked around, it drags the production time down immensely.
Here's some photos if that helps at all.

I installed an older set of drivers for my gpu just to see what would happen and everything is fine now. Not sure exactly why that worked, but it is incredibly annoying. So if anyone reading this had the same issue and has a 3060-80, then just install drivers from around the end of April or so.

Nevermind. About 20 minutes into editing, the problem came back in full swing. I don't know what is causing it or why rolling back the drivers initially worked, but no longer works.

I'm having trouble visualizing what is happening.
Can you post a video of it?

I may have fixed it again. This one I am much more hopeful of. I just disabled composite preview during trim on the timeline display settings. Its been about 30 minutes and the problem has not come back. Hopefully this is done and done, but considering it started at random, it may come back later.
