Adjustment Layer transition not rendering properly

Dec 05, 2024 Dec 05, 2024

I have a clip using a zoom transition with an adjustment layer, It actually appears exactly as expected when scrubbing the clips in the timeline. The output looks bad and isn't doing the transition, is there some checkbox or button I need to select for it to render out properly, below are what it looks like in the timeline, the other is what the final output looks like

What do you think, @PaulMurphy? I can't tell much from the screenshot.

Cheers,

It’s hard to say for certain without seeing your Effect Controls panel, but this issue may be related to the Transform effect. This bug can occur when your media frame size differs from your sequence frame size, and the Shutter Angle in the Transform effect is set to a value greater than 0.

The good news is that this bug has been resolved in Premiere Pro version 25.0. Updating to this version should resolve the issue.

If you’re unable to update and need to stay in an earlier version, a workaround is to nest your footage. You can either:

  • Nest your footage in a sequence with a frame size that matches the footage frame size, then apply the Transform effect inside the nested sequence.
  • Nest your footage in a sequence that matches the frame size of your main (parent) sequence, and apply the Transform effect in the main sequence.

Both methods should prevent the issue from occurring.
