Premiere Pro Keeps Crashing – I’M LOSING MY MIND!

Seriously, Adobe, what is going on?! Premiere Pro keeps crashing and closing randomly with NO errors. I have tried EVERYTHING. And I mean EVERYTHING:

  • Reinstalled the app (multiple times)
  • Reset preferences
  • Deleted all plugins
  • Tried older versions
  • Turned off GPU acceleration
  • Moved project files to different drives
  • Installed Adobe on a different SSD
  • Updated every possible driver

My PC is brand new, a literal powerhouse:
:laptop_computer: i9-14900KF
:video_game: RTX 4070 Super
🧠 64GB DDR5 RAM
:floppy_disk: SSDs – no HDDs

I bought this beast a month ago to be faster at work, and now I’m stuck with constant crashes. This isn’t normal. I need a real solution, not just “reset preferences” or “try another version.” If anyone actually knows what’s causing this, PLEASE HELP!

Bummer I know. But it's not like someone actually "knows" what's causing that. It sounds like a unique problem, relating to your machine.

Its new, so it may take some tweaking. Do you have an head up display software installed and running in the background. Nvidia Experience perhaps, things like that. Fan control software? There was a problem with I think it was and Intel software, maybe azure or something named similar. These are the things to look for. Start stripping things out. When my computer sits for awhile, if I check the processes running, I was down to 102 the other day. I stop things I (think :-)) I don't need, etc.

LATEST

If it's a brand new build have you done platform stress tests to ensure the pc is not crashing under load. Are you running default memory timing parameters in BIOS?.

Ensure you have the latest bios for your motherboard..

For new builds I have used the third party utility OCCT to run stress tests in memory . This shows up any instability in your system before you run an application.
There are other utilities out there as alternatives .

How much memory is allocated to Premiere in preferences ?
