After Effects and Premiere Pro crashing at launch (V25)

My set up is an Imac Intel with Ventura. I tried Everithing, desinstalling and installing back the softwares, update the OS, Clean with Adobe cleaner tool, erase caches...

Premire Pro launches when I force it withe "Option+ Shift" but I can't use After Effects at all.

I have a project due for tomorrow and I can't find a solution...

If anyone has an idea, it would be much appreciated, please 🙂

Hey Ben,

I understand how frustrating these issues with crashes can be. Since you're experiencing this problem with both Premiere Pro and After Effects, it's probable that this issue is caused by a third-party plugin. To check that, open the Reset options menu while launching Premiere Pro (https://adobe.ly/3JMOF5Q) and only check the "Disable third-party plugins at launch" option. Do the same in After Effects (Command + Option + Shift to open the menu and only select the Safe Mode option. Check the box to disable third-party plugins when prompted). Let me know how it goes.

I see. To confirm, does After Effects crash even when you disable third-party plugins at launch? I've attached a screenshot of the option that needs to be enabled to temporarily turn off the plugins. Please also let me know if you see the crash reporter box when After Effects crashes.

Could you share your complete system specifications and the exact Premiere Pro and After Effects versions? Please also let me know if After Effects loads past the splash screen before crashing, or if it crashes while the splash screen is loading. If you've installed any new software or plugins around the time this issue started happening, please mention the names. Sometimes, antivirus software can cause stability issues with the apps.

Here is my mac specification in the doc below.

The PP and AE versions are the last ones since I deleted them and re-upload them: 25.4

I did come back from vacation two days ago and that's when I realised the softwares were crashing. But I don't remember installing anything lately.

I manage to finish my project with a computer from a friend but I still can't use AE.
