Hello,
I think this is a bug that really needs sorting as it's been happening for about half a year now. Not always, but most of the time, when I'm using an After Effects file in Premiere the connection keeps getting lost, and a bar will appear mid-way through the After Effects track as though the file needs relinking. In my program monitor I'm seeing the red "Media Offline" image. It's hit or miss whether relinking works or not, but even when it does the media offline warning reappears 2 minutes later.
This is really making all of my projects so difficult. I have to resort to exporting After Effects files for Premiere which comes with its own issues.

What's happening on your system, every 2 minutes or so? Is someone else accessing the .aep file? Is the .aep file on shared storage?
If you can you provide step-by-step instructions which reliably reproduce the issue, we'd be happy to pursue it further.

As far as I'm aware, there isn't anything that happens on my system every 2 or so minutes, so I can't give a step-by-step in that regard. I am just creating the AE file, saving it, open my Premiere project, importing the AE file which works, but it then relinks later. It also seems to happen every time I open the project. No-one else is accessing the .aep files, it's not on shared storage.
It just seems to be that relinking is solving the situation but not lasting.

We can't reproduce the behavior here, based on what you've posted; let us know if you become aware of other contributing factors.

Hi Kevin, yes I'm still experiencing this. I will create a bug report. I'm quite surprised that it's not able to be reproduced as this has happened for me on multiple accounts and multiple devices. Hopefully the team will see the bug report and sort things out because it is really affecting my work now.
