any issues with Sonoma

So just got a call from a client that I provide support for...  He's got a very large documentary project with about 60 terabytes of media.  Somehow or other his system updated to Sonoma and first thing that happened, the pegasus raid wouldn't mount...  After an hour with Pegasus support, he got it to mount...  Then he couldn't get Premiere to open the project.    Now it's generating .pek files, etc. which will take a while...  

Just wondering if anyone's working with Sonoma and if so, if things are ok?  I did a search here for Sonoma and saw a few posts about issues that shouldn't effect us...  but nothing that seems like a general problem.   It was definitely premature, in my opinion, to update but apparently the client didn't authorize an update.  It's a relatively new macstudio and it's possible that apple has "automatic updates" turned on by default...    I probably should have checked (and I may have)...    And really think it's reprehensible that apple doesn't notify you if automatic updates is turned on (at least once).  It's possible it did, but wasn't noticed.  

I'm ready to restore Ventura if necessary.  Don't think it's particularly complicated (booting off the restore volume if I remember correctly).  I really loved using carbon copy cloner to have a bootable copy of my startup disk, so if an update went south, it was pretty simple (although somewhat timeconsuming) to restore to the previous OS..   Don't think that's possible anymore...  certainly doesn't look like it...   If someone knows how to make this happen in CarbonCopyCloner or another solution, please let us know.

So my client could not get the Premiere project to load properly.  Would stall on generating pek files etc indefinitely.  I came to the edit room this morning.  And the situation was as described.   You could select a clip in the timeline or in the bin, and control click and choose reveal in finder...  but nothing was working within premiere...  So initially, I though I'd unlink and relink a clip and then thought that might cause problems.  So I just dragged a new clip into the project...  And suddenly everything was as it should be.  Took a while to generate or reconnect to waveforms...  but in about 15 minutes all was well.  Spot checked playing the timeline and all was ok.  Not quite sure what made me try this, but for whatever reason, it solved the problem.    The client was suitably impressed as he should have been...  I was actually impressed also...

Hi, Micheal! I`m with the same problem! I just updated to sonoma and now my premiere projects are not opening as they used to. SOMEBODY HELP MEEEE It`s seems that was REALLY too soon to uptade.

sorry, "what I WAS experiencing."  Yeah, make sure you don't have automatic OS updates enabled in your system preferences.   My client says it might have been his mistake...
