Greetings all.
I just noticed that a workflow that I had gotten used to no longer is working and I’m wondering if something on the Premiere end has changed.
I record a lot of events on a Blackmagic Atem Extreme ISO switcher, up to 8 sources. After an event the switcher outputs a switched program video file as well as discreet iso video files of each camera, and a .drp resolve edit file of the live switching.
Typically I have been able to just export an xml in resolve of the switched timeline (without linking or conforming to media in resolve) and then import that xml to premiere. (Pic 1 of Resolve timeline uncomformed, but with file names.)
When I would open the xml sequence in premiere the discrete clips in the timeline would retain the naming conventions of the files they reference though they would be black video (Pic 2). Now for some reason they land just named “Black Video” though I can still see the name in the source monitor for some reason (Pic 3).
This name is important for the workflow to quickly reconstruct a multi cam sequence of the live edit to make any necessary fixes.
Before I could just do a “find all” in the timeline for the name “Cam 1” in the xml sequence for example and using adjustment layers I could quickly reconstruct the live edit in the timeline using the iso media from each camera.
Now when I bring in the xml everything is just named “Black Video”, so the edit points are still there but no information on what is cutting to what.
Any thoughts?
