I'm using the compressor from the Dyamics suite on a dialogue track. If I cut out a couple frames in the track, Premiere creates click sounds where the edits take place. When I disable the compressor, the clicks disappear. I found if I put a piece of audio media in the space (muted tone) it solves the problem. Is there a better solution? Thank you

In general while editing audio I'll always keep small fades on edits unless there is a full fade up/out to 0db built into the clip. The crossfades will prevent any kind of popping or crackling from occuring. I don't know if that completely applies to your situation and it does sound odd that having a muted audio clip in between would solve it, so it makes me wonder if it's the same thing. But the fades are a good practice and might also prevent that from happening without the other workaround.

Thank you for your reply. I also like to use crossfades on audio clips, and immediately tried to apply them on the popping clips - but the clicks reamained.
