audio disappears when replacing file in project?

I need to update my audio files with a higher-quality version, so I have replacement files of the same names as the originals (I've opened them and tested them, working fine), but when I go to my project and go to replace the individual audio files, all the clips using the file go blank in the timeline. No audio, I tried raising the gain and removing attributes, and nothing plays. Anybody know a solution? I've included pictures of the before and after replacing the audio files
