Audio dropping out during playback with nested clips in timeline

That's not the same as the issue I'm having, although it appears similar.

For me the audio drops out on some clips only after the exported .mp4 file - it's totally fine playing in Premiere Pro.

I have a project I have been editing for months. Recently the audio started droping out when playedback in the timeline. I know my computer it up to spec. I suspect this is could be something with the lastest Pr version. W

Are you using any audio effects?  If so, try removing them and see if all is OK.
