Im importimg a voice over file Mp3 into Prem Pro and it is so distorted

It says in audio details that it is a m4a format any help much appreciated

Is the audio playing fine in your video/audio player?

Is it distorted in the Timeline? What about the Project panel? Or the Source Monitor?
