Audio like a Chipmunk

I have read all of the threads regarding this issue but it does not explain our problem.

Importing a video into Premiere Pro

Scrubbing to the point I need to clip it from.

Audio before that point is correct.

Audio after that point sounds likea chipmunk.

I checked my version and I'm up todate, this has not been an issue in the past videos I have produced.

I tried the tricks provided and none of them seemed to fix it.

Video is being downloaded from an encoder, played before import it sounds fine.

Size of video 2.84 GB Length of video 3hr 14 min.

Any thoughts?

After the edit, is there a speed change to the video?

Sorry, meant to mention it does not effect the video just the audio.

Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot of the properties of your media in tree view:

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Handbrake to convert to constant frame rate:

Shutter Encoder may also be used to convert to Constant Frame Rate:

Thank you. The issue was VFR. I did the suggestion of running it through HandBrake, changing the frame rate to costant and then importing it to Premiere. It resolved hte problem the audio is in line with the video.
