Audio only plays if I start from the beginning of the timeline?

This has becoming quite frustrating.

If I have one or multiple audio tracks, one track will not play during playback unless I start it from the beiginning or hit my home key first , if it's to an in and out point somewhere else on the timeline.  I've been with this glitch for about 5 months now, it didn't seem to do this until I upgraded from Premiere 2019 which was running fine for years then about 6 months ago I upgraded to Premiere 2020 & 2021 and this problem began.

I've cleared media cache.

Should I consider reinstalling Win 10?

Uninstall Premiere then reinstall?

Any recommentations would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi Weaver23,

We're sorry about the poor experience. Is this happening with any specific project or all the projects? Also, have you tried resetting app preferences & checked if it's helping.

Thanks,

Sumeet

Hi,

Yes, it happens with all projects that have been upgraded to Premiere 2020 & 2021 though not seemingly with 2019 Premiere projects.

I will take a look at the resetting preference option.

Thank you.

Start a new project and then import the old one into it.
