This was a long time ago, but Premiere Pro (I can't recall which version) had a tool where you could detect audio peaks. You would select the tool and it would scrub through your timeline and leave a marker whereever the audio peaked. It was very helpful.
Does this tool no longer exist? I can't for the life of me find it, or even find any historical data about it.
Ah apologies everyone, I'm realizing that this was actually a feature from FCP back in the day not Premiere.

To be honest I cannot remember ever seeing such tool.
Mayby it was Audition.

That would be a nice tool.
I know there is the Audio Radar tool ...
