Is it just me or has anyone else been having issues with Premiere's audio scynchronization feature recently? Sometimes, it will say it failed to find a match when there obviously is a match. Other times, it will act like it succeeded, but when I try to play it, the audio sync will be way off.
For the past three projects I have done, I have had to sync the audio manually because the auto-sync has not been reliable.

When I've had issues where it "cannot find a match" it has typically been where one or more files had levels lower than the others.
So I've been in the habit of applying gain to X -dB in the Project panel, then either doing multicam or match/sync audio.
Just as a practical matter. As then I rarely have that issue.

and always a good idea to make sure all sampling rates match. generally all professional video formats are 48k

Thank you for the suggestions. My audio levels are good on both clips, hitting around the -6 mark so I don't think it's a problem with volume. The sample rate of the audio I am working with is at 44100 hz though. Would that likely cause the issue of not being able to sync everything?

if the sampling rate of all sources and the sequence match, shouldn't be a problem. And frame rates should also match...

So, it turns out my sample rates do not match. I am trying to sync 44100 hz audio from the microphones with 48000 hz from the camera. Do you think that's what's throwing the sync off?

well, I can't say that's the problem, but one thing that's simple to try. I've had different issues that resampling has fixed...
