Audio waveforms not showing when opening project using API call

Hi

When we use the API call app.openDocument() to open the premiere project, audio waveforms are not showing up in Premiere Pro. Same project when we open from local disc manually, it's showing the waveforms. Could you please suggest, how this can be resolved?

Hi Bruce,
Thank you for the quick response, we are working on a sample project to share with you. Will come back to you as soon as possible.
Premiere pro version:22.2.0

Happening in both MAC and Windows

PPro Preferences --> Audio --> Automatic audio waveform generation is on -Yes.

Thanks

Ok, that's weird. I can reproduce the bug behavior; waveforms show up correctly when opened via UI, but not when project is opened via app.openDocument() API (even with all the optional params set to false).

We'll track this issue as DVAPR-4237298, and will keep you (and Anoop) informed of our progress.

Confirmed: The provided project opens with waveforms, when opened via app.openDocument(), in the current beta (23.1x48).

Hello,

I wonder if clearing your preferences and trashing your media cache would help. There may be something left over in those files that isn't supposed to be there. Preferences: FAQ: How to reset (trash) preferences in Premiere Pro? Media Cache: FAQ: How to clean (delete or trash) media cache files? Let me know if this works!

Hi
Thank you for the suggestions. We have tried the same, but still no waveforms when we open the project using API from our HTML5 panel. If we open it second time manully waveforms are coming.
We can see peack files are getting created in both occations, but for some reason, first time waveforms are not showing up in premiere.

Thanks

Bizarre.

What PPro version? What OS?
Can you send me a .prproj (with media), that reliably reproduces this behavior?

Confirming: PPro Preferences --> Audio --> Automatic audio waveform generation is on, yes?
