Hi,

Full time video editor here. Love some of the new work flow with v 24.0 and also the fact they added auto tone map a while back for iphone footage and other HDR clips. But the most frustrating glitch with the new version turns off auto tone map on its own every time Premiere is re opened and also turns it off permanetly every time I send a project to Media Encoder. This never happened with previous versions. I really hope they know this and fix with an update. If anyone else experiences this and has a work around would love to know!

Woa, that would be a pain!

I've gone into the Lumetri panel Settings tab, set the Project setting of auto-detect log "on", and and sequence setting for auto-tonemap "on" ... and they've been sticky. They are always left that way.

Are your prefs in general saving, by the way?

I'm having the same problem with Premiere 2024. I believe the problem is in the project files that I've created in Premiere 2021 and then opened and upgraded in 2024.

One way to go around the problem is to nest the stuff. The auto tone map media checkbox won't go away in the nested sequence.

Probably a better way is to create a new sequence and paste all the stuff from old sequence in there. Remember to create the new squence by dragging a video file from project window to "new item" button so that the new sequence will have all the necessary parameters from the video file.
