Automatic check video file for simple errors?

Once in a while I would make a mistake editing like turning off one camera in a multi camera sequence, resulting in some black video in the output file.

I'm supposed to review the entire output and should therefore catch this mistake. However, when you have to revise the same project many times, there is a tendency to just spot check the intended changes and misss the unintended ones.

How do movie or commercial production team do this? I cannot imagine everytime a small change is required, the editor has to watch the entire movie or episode again to check for errors.

Is there an add-on or standalone "video mistake checker?"

How would it know if the camera was turned off by accident or intentionally?

It wouldn't know for sure but it is uncommon to have a black video, the checker can issue a warning and let the user decide. Also there can be an option for users to select what kind of unusual conditions to check for.

There is automated QC software for this. QScan is one option that I know of.
