Autosave feature makes Premiere crash

I'm just lazy and I have been pushing the moment I switch to Davinci Resolve for years, but I swear i'm so pissed right now I'll do it.

Because Premiere Pro is so unstable, (on my brand new killer PC , see specs bellow (but was also on my old)) I have to set autosave every 3 minutes. But, now and then, multiple time per day, the Autosave dialog box will pop right when I'm clicking somewhere, or when I'm hitting a key, and it will freeze the hell out Premiere...and then it will just crash.

What version of Premiere Pro?

I thought that was fixed in a recent version.

Yeah, this is crazy. Happens to me too. I'm dealing with 30+ crashes a day now because of this autosave freeze.

What operating system are you on?

I'm wondering if this is related to being on Windows 11.

I am not seeing this. Win 10, PR 22.2.0.

For testing, I always have my autosave set to 3 minutes. So I have many occassions when autosave pops up as I am doing something. I have to wait for autosave to finish, but I have had no crashes/freezes in PR 22.2.0.

Are you sure your are on Pr 22.2 ?

I turn auto save off for most programs.  Premiere is at the top of the list and always has been.

Same here on Mac, version 22.2.0.

System: 

- MacOS Monterey

- 4,2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7

- 24 GB 2400 MHz DDR4

- Radeon Pro 580 8 GB

- Samsung T7 SSD with USB-C connection

So incredibly annoying, I turn on autosave because it is so unstable, and then autosave will make it freeze if you click somewhere when the autosave prompt pops up.

I had the exact same problem, very frustrating. This bug seems to be gone in 22.3 and 22.4 (which is currently the beta version).
