Premiere Pro has never dealt with 8K .R3Ds very well in my experience but this is a major problem. Projects that have effects applied (noise, ehco, posterize time etc.) to a clip that has Scale to Frame Size selected renders some kind of pink mask. See attached. The workaround is to deselect Scale to Frame Size and scale manually. Way to much extra work in large projects.
This does not happen in Premiere 2022.
This is my first time posting so let me know what other info you need.

Try Set to frame size or set the viewing quality in the preview window of the timeline to High quality mode.

Selecting High Quality mode didn't do anything. Set to Frame Size is the same as deselecting Scale to Frame Size it works but solves nothingl. I have endless projects where every clip is set to Scale to Frame Size because I use NeatVideo on everything and that is their recommendation for stability.

Adobe employees should pay attention to this problem.

I thought I posted this as a bug to technical support. Is that not the case?

They are paying attention here, but not always does a staffer respond. They are much better than in years past though.
@Fergus Hammond ... are you around today?

... and that's why I never take the time to post technical issues. Waste of time.
