Blade Tool no longer "snapping" to playhead or previous cut lines

I do a lot of editing of youtube shorts for client podcasts. Most of my work involves cutting dead space between dialogue. It used to be easy to blade a video segment, and then use the snap function to get the blade perfectly lined up on the audio segment below it. After an update, now there is no snap to function on the playhead or even the precut sections. There used to be a clicking vibration on the track pad to let you know its searching for the proper spot as you're gliding over it. Now the blade will not recognize any previous cuts, and you have to zoom all the way in to make sure you're RIGHT on the other bladed line to match it perfectly. It's probably doubled my worktime as a result. Is there an easy menu option that I can press to rectify this nightmare?

I've got good news and not so good news! 🙂

The good news is, it's working fine in beta 25.0.0 b32

The bad news, not so much in 24.6, at least it doesn't appear to be working here.

Hi! I have installed premiere 25.0. Blade is snapping at cuts, but this click sound on touchpad doesnt apper while gliding on timeline. Click response appears when you move clips, but not when you moving blade through cuts. Do you know how to solve it?

I'm still getting snapping in 25.0 as long as my mouse pointer is within the track I want to snap to.

Yeah, overall snapping works just fine for me.
But my question was more about "click" effect on macbook pro 2021 trackpad, when razor tool snaps to cut - there is no more click trackpad effect in 2025. I only experience click on trackpad while moving clips and they are snapping to each other.

I see. I can't speak to that, as I don't know Mac stuff at all. I'm wondering if that is a Apple or PP problem?
