  1. Create a new Bin and open it.
  2. Sort the Bin by "User Order."
  3. Press CTRL/CMD+i to import images into the Bin.
  4. Shift+click to select a series of images.
  5. Click Open.

Expected: The images are imported into the Bin in alphabetical order.

Actual: The images are imported into the Bin in random order.

This bug is even more glaring when you import sequentially named files (ie img_001.png, img_002.png - img_099.png).  because the images wind up in the bin as img_032.png, img_013.png, img_071.png, etc.

Sorting the Bin by name will put those images in alphabetical order, but it will also destroy the "User Order" (least-most recently added assets) that you require from the Bin.  The user has to hand-order the assets by clicking and dragging to achieve both User Order generally, and alpha order specifically with that series of sequentially named assets.
