I'd like to count _something_ during the timeline. It'll start at 0 and go up by 1 irregularly.  During overall editing the incrementing trigger is edited into the appropriate point(s) of the timeline.

When fired the trigger increments the (global) var/parm counter.  (Another?) trigger displays the count somehwere in the visual field.

Can this be done in any ver of PPro?  5.5 I hope?  Anybody know of a educ.resource for the effort?

thanks.

PS Something like this was available in Flash a few years (10!?) back wasn't it?

A CEP-based panel can register for some events, and display counts (or anything else) in its panel.

However...

That won't be possible in PPro versions < 7.0.

PPro CS5.5 pre-dated CEP panel support; it only supports Flex-based panels, which were discontinued in 2014 (a year after CEP panels were introduced in PPro 7.0).
