Hello,

I want to link multiple audio tracks to one video in my timeline but it does not work; I don't want to use the "command+G" but "command+L".

I read other topic so i need to precise that I am not talking about any sync process but just the action of linking multiple audios to one video in the timeline. When I select my tracks and clip then I link them it only unlink the video from its native audio... Impossible to link 2 or 3 audio track to one clip ....I think it may be a bug.

thank you so much for your help

Hello nathanael etc.,

"When I select my tracks and clip then I link them ..."

I assume from what you have written that in a timeline you are selecting 1 video clip and several audio clips. You then attempt to link them with the Link command ("command L") and they do not link as desired.

The documentation is typically not good on this but it does state:

"The audio clips must have the same channel type and each clip must be on a different track."

scroll down to "Link Multiple Audio Clips".

I assume that you actually wish to link multiple audio clips on the same track, and unfortunately Premiere Pro does not do this (by design). I wish it would link multiple audio clips on the same track (and mutlipe video clips, for that matter). But I suppose you could use the Group command to do that. Is there a reason you don't want to use "Group"? As to the differing design intentions behind "Link" and "Group", Adobe will keep these importantly secret.

(Bonus points to anyone who can dig up anything on the "track menu" mentioned on that page.)

thank you for your time. Premiere actually use to do this. I tried on 2022 version and it worked. I don't want to group it because when you edit and split the video both part still are linked unlike "command + L" which  links it like if it was native audios from the video. I'm sorry if it is confusing.

"Premiere actually use to do this."

Ah, perhaps I misunderstood your original scenario. Apologies.

I understand why you wish to link and not group from this second posting.
