Can you select all clips and apply the same transition in one go?

Hi I'm new to premiere pro and learning more efficient ways to do things.

At the moment I was wondering about different ways to copy and paste transitions between the footage on the timeline. I have found the below video tutorial which uses the Rolling Edit Tool in the toolbar which is great. But is there a way to command + A all frames and just apply the transition inbetween them automatically? So I woudn't have to click between each transition.

I also came across another tutorial not directly related to copying and pasting transitions, but it used this method to apply the same effect to the rest of footage by copying one clip and then command + a, right click and pasting attributes. I tried it but it didn't seem to paste the cross dissolve effect to the footage I specified. A window pops up and the cross dissolve effect doesn't seem to be there either.

Select all clips in timeline than go up to Sequence and hit Apply default transition to selection.
