Hi

I have about 80 mts files, recorded with camera, i don't know what camera used for recording. These are wedding vidoes and none of them opening. When i try to work with premiere, it says "the file has an unsupported compression type." Tried to open files with vlc and few other players but non of them worked. Am i missing something?

If VLC won't open the file you have a major problem

See if the https://handbrake.fr/ open source transcoder/converter will read the file and export an MP4 that you may edit

It has been several years since my MTS camera died, so this may not be 100% correct

But, my memory is you need to have the entire folder containing the MTS files copied from the camera to a folder on your computer, and then import the files from inside that folder... if you copy just the files they won't work
