cant see where video strip is going to go when moving/resizing

Hello, I'm trying to resize this video strip but the normal white outline that tells you where the strip is going to resize is no longer there:

How do I fix this?

That may be the end of the clip.

it' shouldn't be the strip shown in the picture is an adjustment layer. The white outline doesn't appear in all strips

I've moved this from the Using the Community forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Premiere Pro forum.

I tried to reset preferences and going back to the project,

and then it fixed the problem for like about a second and continued to the mentioned problem

is anyone else having this problem?
