Captions are not displayed in preview or export

So my automatic generated captions stopped displaying also in old projects without me changing any settings. I already tried reinstalling and downgrading several times but nothing seems to help, been on this problem for the last 4 hours maybe anyone has some ideas. It feels like the bug occured after changing to 25. I also tried exporting and reimporting the captions nothing helps it seem like they are still there just not displayed in the preview or the exported file.

The captions track shows in the timeline but the captions do not show in the Program Monitor?

A screenshot would help. Timeline, Text panel/captons tab, and Properties panel with one caption selected.
