Changing the length of a still image after applying keyframes

After applying keyframes to the first and last frames of a still image, and applying a scale or position effect, how can I extend the duration or decrease the duration and have the keyframes and motion automatically adjust so it plays over the first and last frame of the new duration?

The only way I can think of is to make a preset of the current keyframes set to scale.

For clarification, I select the clip, make it into a preset and next apply it to the clip and select set to scale? Thanks

You set your position and scale to the clip

Make preset

Change duration clip

Apply preset.
