Changing Wipes/transitions from linear to non-linear?

I love the built in wipe transition. I use it for comparing visual mods in videos games. But I want it to not be so simple. I want it to slow down when it gets towards the end. I tried exporting it and then slowing it down in certain parts but it is very choppy and not smooth. Anyone know how to do this in adobe or ANY other programs/plugins
