Converting Project from 1920 x 1080 to Square

Is converting a project from 1920 x 1080 to Square in PRO as easy as just changing settings?

I've been using Elements and to do this is insane. Here's what I have to go through:

1. Save project
2. Write down cut points
3. Undo all effects
4. Export video
5. THEN, create a new square file, setting to Force
6. Import the video
7. Hand enter cut points and cut
8. Do effects     OH MY!

No, you don't have to do all that stuff in Premiere.

In Premiere you can make several timelines (sequences) in the same project.

Change Seqeunce Settings as in change framesize from 1920x1080 to 1080x1080 and done.

Mind you, Premiere is nothing like Elements, it has a steep learning curve.
