I've tried copy/paste into a new sequence, and the text position was off.
After inspecting the new sequence, I've noticed it's the same.
So I've tried pasting in the same sequence, and the same problem occurs.
1st time I've experienced this.
Attaching video.
Does anyone know what's happening here?
Restart didn't help:)
Hi @Bruno5CB9,
Did Stan's suggestion help? I also wasn't able to reproduce this issue. What version of Premiere are you using? What type of computer are you on?
If you have time, please give the team a few more details. See: How do I write a bug report?

Win 11 PR 25.5.0. My quick test did not show this issue. And yes, that does seem odd.
Try creating a simple one-word text, apply no effects, and do the copy and paste. I suspect some effect is doing this for you.

Nop, like I couldn't fix, but I did fix it manually, and now when I copy/paste it works normaly.
Additional context:
So I did this move in this project with this same title over and over. I would just paste the end graphics and that's it.
My MO is that after a project gets too crowded with sequences, I open a new project and paste all sequences that have the branding elements that I need. Usually, it's a single folder that holds both longform and shortform content and all assets.
So this is the single step that's different from what I've been doing last half year without problem.
I've tried to replicate the bug just now with new project, but it's not happening, text is pasting without any bugs.

For the record, this is happening to me on a large project with a multi-year history that has substantial Graphic rectangles w/o any text. Cutting and pasting those causes them to shift the anchor point and scale down to 50%, but option+dragging them does not, so it feels like this is tied to using the clipboard specifically.
I'm on macOS Sequioua 15.7.1 on an M3 Ultra, so it's not platform specific.
I'll look into the usual paste into a clean project method when I can; In the past I've done that for other issues with success.

Yeah, the name censoring is just ridiculous!!!
re: c/p issue - This was happening on a PC, so it's not about that I think.
I'll try your method if it happens again. Thanks for sharing

Following up: Copying everything and pasting into a clean project file does not resolve the copy/paste of a graphic element with a solid shape causing the shape to re-scale and shift its anchor point. Also, it loses the label color and name of the copied element.
