Create an adjustment layer
  • Select File > New > Adjustment Layer.

     

    Why would this be greyed out? 
    Had the perfect need for this, a sequence of still images

    all needed a bit more contrast and exposure.

     

    spell check does not work for me

    Must I click the spell check box everytime a need to check?

Hey there. Could you double-check and make sure that your Project Panel is active when you do this. Make sure there is a blue outline around it. You can do this by either clicking in the Project Panel (this is where your clips, sequences, and such live). Or by the keyboard shortcut "Shift+1".
