Hello,

I have my own presets which I build up overtime from I started using Pr. I accidentally imported twice, now I have hundreds of duplicates from that, I want to just clean it up because there is "preset-name_1" all over it, and I want to specifically edit the file system so it's easier for me rather than deleting each of them in premiere pro. Basically this file, right? "Effect Presets and Custom Items.prfpset", if I am not mistaken which is located at "Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro\24.0\Profile-Administrator"

Furthermore, my exported preset like my backup has also duplicates, which is why I want to know how to edit the exported-file.prfpset to remove the duplicates using a text editor like Notepad++.

I want to open it inside my editor and remove it manually the codes there, what portions of the codes should I remove for a whole preset item? because I could find those duplicate preset names here with "_1" but I'm just not sure where to start and end to delete them.

On your end, if you have some time, please export a preset and try to edit or open it using your notepad editor on windows or a Notepad++ application then find a specific title of preset, you will be able to find it.

If your duplicates all have "_1" at the end, can't you just search for "_1" in the search box at the top of the Effects panel? Then you can multi-select and delete.
