I just bought a Dell XPS with the highest of everything to be able to run Premier Pro.
The computer freezes up the PP locks up and in general it is not running anywhere near as well as it did on my run of the mill cheap laptop (before it took a deep dive into death)
Any ideas, is it the Nivida drivers, or something else?

Hi wwhopper,
Sorry about the poor experience. We can get this checked. Please let us know the version of Premiere Pro, the model of NVIDIA GPU & the specifications of the media files that you are working with (formats/codec, frame rate & frame size). We're here to help, just need more info.
Thanks,
Sumeet

What are the complete computer specs, including hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each, what capacity, and how full)?
If NVIDIA graphics, make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).

Thanks, I believe I did that, but am doing it once again.

There may be something else, as the machine chokes up on Chrome and other software.
